Thread: Different Talent Hunt

Recently there has been a hot competition of searching talents in the fields of song, art, acting, dance, beauty etc. among al the tv channels. This is no doubt a praise-worthy step. It would have been much better if they all could shed the influence of Indian Programs. Still these programs have really got found some talents who could never have been revealed. This move has certainly given the opportunities of employments for some deserving people. But channels like these have really a much greater scope to contribute to the development of our country.


Organizing such talent hunts on cultural arena is not going to do a lot for the country unless the discovered talents are so so talented that they can surpass the National Boundary by their splendid performance. If they can do so they will certainly make Bangladesh known in international arena and can also help to earn foreign currency. But to ascend to that level is highly improbable. I here must recognize that the talents found are really sparkling.


What I am suggesting much more than the current move is to conduct a talent hunt program on areas which can directly have affect on the development of the country. It may be an overall talent hunt(any talent is eligible here), or talent hunt on science or scientific project, hunt of talent on business, commerce, agriculture etc, or talent on innovation, on invention, even on generating ideas about how as a nation we can improve or develop.


You know as a nation how fond we are of imitating others specially India. To say in other words we are not used to trying to innovate and we are not innovative either. Just depending on imitation, we cannot survive in the current age of globalization.


But if they(the channels and the newspapers as well) can start the move, the whole country will start thinking and trying to do something or other. As the hunt is not for a particular group or society, every one will begin to try their best to be first. Every one actually believes that they are gifted with at least one talent and they will try in their respective field. And if so happens, every one can easily visualize or imagine the future of Bangladesh.


I will forward this idea in different sectors like tv channels and Newspapers. But writing only from me is not suficient you know. So if you feel the same like me, write and suggest more.
